Wyoming governor signs voter ID bill

Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon (R) on Tuesday signed into law a bill requiring state residents to provide identification when they go to cast a ballot.

The bill, HB0075, says that Wyoming voters must present “acceptable identification” when voting in person and that “in-person voters may be challenged for failure to present acceptable identification,” whether they choose to vote on Election Day or during early voting.

State Rep. Chuck Gray (R) was the primary sponsor of the bill, which nearly two-thirds of the Wyoming legislature co-sponsored.

Federal judge in Nevada rejects emergency motion claiming voter fraud, signature verification issues

A U.S. federal court judge has denied an emergency motion from Nevada Republicans after they sued Clark County and the Secretary of State’s Office, claiming voter fraud. The lawsuit alleged the county’s signature verification system uses lower quality images than its software requires.

Judge Andrew Gordon denied the plaintiff’s motion to stop the use of Clark County’s signature verification machine and change its vote counting observation rules.

Judge rejects lawsuit in Nevada over voter fraud, verified signature issues

A telephonic hearing took place on Friday in relation to a lawsuit that was filed against Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske and Clark County Registrar of Voters Joe Gloria.

The lawsuit alleged the county’s signature verification system uses lower quality images than its software requires and a federal judge denied the motion from the Nevada Republicans that has also claimed voter fraud in the state.
