Labour MP ‘deeply disappointed’ that Tory candidate allowed to stand in local election
Labour Warrington North MP Charlotte Nichols says it is ‘deeply disappointing’ that a Tory council candidate has been allowed to stand in the upcoming elections.
The Conservative Party confirmed it was investigating allegations against Warrington Conservatives in February. It came shortly after it was reported that a Tory borough council candidate would no longer be standing for the party in the election in May after a ‘truly terrifying’ tweet to Jewish Labour MP Ms Nichols.
